AmorChem

Inès Holzbaur is Founder and Managing Partner of AmorChem, an early-stage life sciences fund, where she helped build the firm's investment model and day-to-day operations and has led several investments, including transactions with pharmaceutical companies such as Hoffmann-La Roche and Vertex Pharmaceuticals. She previously entered venture capital in the late 1990s with the GeneChem funds, rising to Senior Associate, and chaired the board of NuChem Sciences from its founding through its management buyout. She holds a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, along with certificates from the Institute of Corporate Directors and the Canadian Venture Capital Association.

Kevin McBribe is a General Partner and Chief Scientific Officer at AmorChem Ventures and CEO at ARNA Therapeutics. He has held positions in academic research, biotech drug discovery and development, and business development, with experience working alongside venture capital investors. He has served as a science representative at the board level for multiple organizations.

Patricia Laplante is a Principal at AmorChem, where she develops and manages technical maturation plans for the firm's drug discovery projects and supports academic research teams moving into drug discovery. She joined AmorChem in 2013 as a Project Manager and later became Director, Project Management, having previously spent 11 years in drug discovery at AstraZeneca R&D Montreal along with roles at Procyon BioPharma and McGill University. She holds an MSc in neurology and neurosurgery from McGill University.
