Investment thesis
Traction operates as an active-ownership investment company rather than an industry-focused fund. It develops and transforms small- and medium-sized companies through close, long-term cooperation with entrepreneurs, business leaders and other active owners, typically taking board seats and providing project managers and complementary expertise. Traction is explicitly sector-agnostic, applying its development philosophy to companies across industries that prioritize sound business principles and long-term growth. Alongside active holdings, it invests capital in other listed shares and bonds to generate returns. Holdings are held long-term but are in principle always for sale at the right price. The firm avoids companies tied to alcohol, drugs, tobacco, exploitative gambling, predatory credit, or military equipment.
