Alongside a private counterpart such as venture capital investors and other legally eligible entities, the national public fund co-invests between 10 and 50 million euros per fund under equal conditions. Combining public and matched private capital, total investment reaches up to 200 million euros. The program is managed by Banco Português de Fomento.

The firm explicitly describes its style as "nurture capital" with intensive, hands-on engagement, and Stanford is vocal about avoiding the "unicorn at all costs" mentality in African tech, instead emphasizing sustainable market readiness and fundamentals in a more conservative, durability-focused investment approach.
