Wei-Jien Tan holds degrees in electrical engineering and physiology. He previously worked as a researcher applying machine learning to electrophysiology data in a neuroscience lab, and later as an engineer in implantable medical devices where he contributed firmware and circuit design; he cofounded Sepsis Scout, which was acquired by Cytovale.
