Wander

Wander is a US-based travel and hospitality technology company operating a curated network of luxury short-term rental homes. The company positions itself between hotels and traditional vacation rentals, standardizing each property to a fixed specification: designed interiors, premium bedding, fast Wi-Fi, work stations, seamless/app-based check-in and 24/7 concierge support delivered by a mix of human staff and AI. Many homes include amenities such as pools, spas, gyms and saunas. Guests book through Wander.com, and homes are described as smart-home enabled, with app control over features such as door access, lights and fireplaces.

Operations run on WanderOS, the company's proprietary software platform, which automates listing creation, maintenance coordination, vendor orchestration, dynamic pricing and other operational tasks. As of the May 2025 Series B announcement, Wander said it was on track to automate 95% of operational tasks within 18 months. The company targets what it calls the top 5% of properties, which it states account for roughly 30% of industry revenue, and cites a $35B+ addressable tier of luxury homes in North America and beyond. Coverage describes an evolution from a vertically integrated operator to an increasingly asset-light branded model in which owner-operated homes are listed on Wander's platform under its standards, with an ambition to extend beyond stays into trips, experiences and concierge services.

Wander was founded in May 2021 by John Andrew Entwistle, who previously co-founded the cloud development company Coder. Reported headquarters vary across sources: Austin, Texas (Forbes; a startup directory) while the Series B press release was datelined San Francisco. The leadership team listed on the company site includes President & COO Sahil Mansuri, CMO Kyle Tibbitts, CTO Nathan Potter, CFO Chris Hidalgo, CPO Michael Perry and Chief of Staff Karlene Holloman.
