Uilicious

UI-licious (also written UIlicious) is a Singapore-based software company that builds a low-code platform for automating user-journey tests of web applications. Its test framework replaces CSS/XPath-based scripting with commands written in near-plain English (for example I.goTo, I.fill, I.click, I.see), which the engine resolves to on-page elements using dynamic code analysis of the HTML semantics, ARIA attributes and the context of preceding commands. The scripts run on JavaScript, so users can also use variables, loops, conditionals, functions, reusable test chaining and datasets loaded from JSON or CSV files. The tool is framework-agnostic, working with React, Vue, Angular, Polymer, EmberJS, KnockoutJS, jQuery and vanilla or server-rendered sites, and supports Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 11.

The current product line centres on TAMI Studio, described as the company's next-generation platform, which embeds an AI assistant called TAMI (Test Authoring Machine Intelligence). TAMI analyses screenshots and recordings to suggest test cases, document test scenarios and expected outcomes, convert test cases into low-code automation scripts, diagnose failures and propose fixes for broken selectors or outdated flows, and draft bug reports. TAMI Studio also adds a test case tracker for organising and documenting cases by feature and tracking status across environments. A classic Web IDE remains available for existing customers, offering browser-based low-code authoring with scheduling and notifications and basic AI functionality, and a no-signup public snippet environment (snippet.uilicious.com) lets users run tests instantly.

Execution happens on the UI-licious Cloud Testing Grid, which provides parallel test runners without customer-managed infrastructure, plus interactive step-by-step replay reports with automatic screenshots and logs, scheduled jobs, and notifications via channels such as Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord and email. A command line interface allows tests to be hooked into CI/CD pipelines, and integrations include GitHub (saving projects, auto-commits and running tests via GitHub Actions) as well as plugins for time-based OTP, MetaMask and Applitools; documented use cases include Salesforce and Web3 application testing. The product is not open source, and self-hosting is available only under a commercial license obtained by contacting the company.
