TestSprite

TestSprite is a Seattle-based company building an AI-driven software testing platform aimed at teams that write code with AI coding assistants. The product performs the work of a dedicated test engineer: it reads a codebase, PRD or API documentation, explores the running application, generates end-to-end test plans, executes them in the cloud against the live app (driving a real browser or calling live APIs rather than mocks), diagnoses failures and proposes fixes. Coverage spans frontend, backend and data flows, and passing tests are retained so that the suite grows as the application evolves.

The platform is delivered through several surfaces that share the same execution engine: an open-source command-line interface published on GitHub and npm (@testsprite/testsprite-cli), an MCP server that plugs into AI IDEs and coding agents such as Claude Code, Cursor, Cline, Windsurf, Antigravity, Kiro, GitHub Copilot and Codex, a GitHub Action/CI integration that can gate pull requests, and a no-code web dashboard. Failure output is returned as a single bundle containing the failing step, screenshots, DOM snapshots, test source, a root-cause hypothesis and a recommended fix, so a human or a coding agent can act on it directly. Additional features include auto-healing reruns when the UI changes, scheduled nightly or weekly runs, retained run history and session video replay.

The company also publishes CoderCup (codercup.ai), a public exercise in which frontier coding agents including Claude Code, OpenAI Codex and Google Antigravity build the same ten-phase application while TestSprite scores each phase against 16–22 end-to-end test plans; the company cites results from it showing that a single AI-assisted change broke 12–25% of previously passing features.

Business model

Self-serve SaaS sold on a monthly or annual subscription with a credit-based usage quota, plus custom enterprise contracts. Distribution is through a free tier, an open-source CLI and IDE/MCP integrations.

Tiered subscription pricing: a Free plan with 150 credits per month and one test list; a Starter plan at $19 per month (first month discounted to $0) with 400 credits, five test lists and five schedules; a Standard plan at $69 per month with 1,600 credits and unlimited test lists and schedules; and a custom-priced Enterprise plan adding API access, custom model training and dedicated support. Annual billing is advertised at a 30% saving.

Traction

The company reports 100,000+ developers and 50,000+ teams using the product as of its current site, up from over 35,000 users reported at the time of the October 2025 seed announcement, when it cited 483% user-base growth in one quarter and 6x growth over three months following the launch of TestSprite 2.0 and its MCP server. The open-source CLI repository has about 3,500 GitHub stars and 170 forks. The product has had five Product Hunt launches since May 2024, was named #1 Product of the Day, and holds a 4.4 rating from five reviews with 4,900 followers.

Latest developments

TestSprite has released its CLI as an open-source project and launched TestSprite 3.0, described as running a fleet of parallel agents to test an application in minutes. It also runs CoderCup, a public leaderboard scoring frontier coding agents against TestSprite-authored end-to-end test plans, where it reports that the cheapest model in the field shipped the most correct app at 89% with verification in the loop.
