Spacebackend

Spacebackend is a deep-tech company working on hardware-software interfaces for mission-critical systems in aerospace, defense and robotics. Its platform, Lynapse, reads and interprets hardware interface documentation such as Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and datasheets, converts them into engineer-approved digital/interface models, and generates deterministic, platform-agnostic, flight-ready driver source code for satellites and space systems. The platform also produces simulation environments for Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) validation, allowing generated and existing software to be tested before physical hardware is available. The stated goal is to reduce hardware integration and testing timelines from years to days.

The product line consists of Lynapse Studio, the AI-powered system integration platform whose first public release is planned for the second half of 2026, and Lynapse Insights, an announced but not yet released module that converts PDF documentation into executable digital models while inspecting software interfaces to expose ambiguities and missing data ahead of physical integration. Beyond integration tooling, the company describes a longer-term roadmap toward vendor-agnostic autonomous operations, in which multi-vendor assets — satellites, spacecraft, landers, rovers and in-situ resource utilisation assets — can identify, connect to and service one another without bespoke engineering, on Earth, in orbit and on the Moon. Application areas cited include accelerated mission-critical integration, defense readiness through rapid reconfiguration of assets in multi-domain environments, and AI-driven virtual validation.
