Applications are completed on SonicJobs, verified, and then submitted into the employer's applicant tracking system (ATS), which the company says requires no development work from the agency, client or ATS provider. The apply flow includes identity checks and two-factor authentication, answers to all ATS screener questions plus any additional employer-defined screening questions, candidate pre-screening mid-application, and real-time feedback intended to keep candidates engaged through completion.

Its US search pages cite more than 1,000 full-time listings applicable "with just one click," featuring employers including Ryder, Lennox International and Alliance Laundry System.

Founding story

Mikhil Raja was born in Mumbai and moved to England at age nine on a tennis scholarship to the Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy at Millfield School, where he ran his first small trading venture at 14. He graduated with a First in Economics from the University of Edinburgh and joined Deutsche Bank's investment banking team, spending his final three years there working with Auto Trader on its shift from magazine to digital-only publishing and on its data, product and pricing ahead of its IPO — an experience that made him focus on data-rich marketplaces. After his father was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and died in 2015, Raja concluded that how people work and move between jobs is central to their wellbeing and that guidance can have an outsized effect on a person's trajectory; he set out to combine marketplace mechanics with helping people find better work, starting SonicJobs in 2017.

SonicJobs sells on a pay-for-performance basis to employers, agencies and their clients, charging on cost-per-click (CPC) or cost-per-application/acquisition (CPA) terms with no minimum budget and no annual commitment. Employers send SonicJobs a job feed, and SonicJobs handles distribution, candidate application capture, verification and submission into the employer's ATS. The company also states it never asks for or requires disposition data from customers.
