RSS3 is a project building products and open infrastructure intended to keep public web information portable and readable. Its own site organizes the work into three parts: Folo, a reading application that consolidates scattered sources into a single timeline framed around attention rather than notifications; RSSHub, a long-running open-source layer that converts additional web sources into RSS feeds and is described by the company as one of the world's largest RSS networks, comprising a route system, instances and public infrastructure; and $RSS3, a token described as linking the project's infrastructure, applications and ecosystem and giving contributors, developers and users a shared stake [0][1].

Earlier public documentation describes RSS3 as a decentralized, open-source information syndication protocol and a web3 feed standard that exposes updates of on-chain activity in a standardized, machine- and human-readable JSON structure, allowing users to track many blockchain addresses in one feed aggregator. The stated aim was to build an information-syndication ecosystem as an alternative to centralized Web 2.0 distribution, with an open protocol on which third parties can build decentralized applications.
