Refine (joinrefine.io) is an AI-powered visual search and recommendations platform for e-commerce—not the YC open-source Refine.dev framework. It builds visual embeddings from product catalogs so storefronts can run natural-language search, image-based “shop the look” discovery, and personalized recommendations via a JS SDK and API (Shopify and similar). Blank Ventures is a named backer; both co-founders later left (CTO Jan 2026, CEO May 2026). The marketing homepage returned 404 during this research, though docs.joinrefine.io and the company LinkedIn page were still live.
