Pi Top

pi-top is an education technology company whose current public-facing offering combines hands-on classroom hardware with a digital learning platform called Further. The platform hosts standards-aligned computer science and STEAM curriculum described as hundreds of hours of interactive lessons spanning beginner to advanced levels, organised around an inquiry-based learning cycle (inquire, investigate, collaborate, create, reflect). Content is grouped into themed contexts such as architecture and real estate, animatronics and design, data analysis, automotive and transport, agriculture and food, civil engineering, smart cars, smart cities, web development, and engineering/STEAM.

Alongside curriculum, pi-top supplies teacher resources (lesson plans, planning documents, teacher certifications), hands-on manipulatives including robotics and electronics, and online interactives covering artificial intelligence. Further also functions as a classroom management system with LMS features such as a gradebook, progress tracking and a teacher dashboard for checking student understanding. Lessons are offered for elementary (grades 3-5), middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12), and are positioned both to augment core subjects (science, math, social studies, English/ELA) and to support dedicated computer science, engineering and CTE courses.
