Miller is a former Los Angeles Times journalist who won the 2003 Pulitzer Prize for National Reporting and founded the News Literacy Project in 2008, a nonpartisan education nonprofit that teaches K-12 students and teachers to identify reliable information and resist misinformation. He holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Hawaii and is a Wesleyan University graduate.
