Alumni Q&A
- What is the core problem you are solving? Why is this a big problem? What made you decide to work on it?
- The founders observe that non-engineering product changes such as copy edits, pricing updates, or business logic tweaks typically stall behind engineering sprints, with PMs filing tickets and waiting weeks. They note that coding agents sped up engineers but not the rest of the product team, while tools aimed at non-technical builders only create new prototypes rather than modifying existing products. The three founders encountered the problem from different angles: Ben as an investor and former PM at SEA Group, Heng Hong from inside engineering, and Benedict from infrastructure.
- What is your long-term vision? If you truly succeed, what will be different about the world?
- The founders aim for everyone at a company, not only engineers, to be able to ship product changes, reducing engineering backlogs to a review queue where aggregated review comments feed back to an agent that self-corrects before an engineer intervenes. They compare the intended shift to how spreadsheets opened data work to non-finance staff and how Canva opened design to non-designers, with engineers focusing on architecture and harder problems.

by search overlapLightOn6 shared keywordsLightOn provides a production retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) platform delivered through three API endpoints for document parsing/OCR, structured field extraction, and grounded hybrid search with citations. It targets developers and enterprises building AI agents and search applications, offering LLM-agnostic, MCP-native infrastructure with workspace and chunk-level access controls.
Light5 shared keywordsLight is a finance operating system that unifies the general ledger with native accounts payable, accounts receivable, spend, procurement, and multi-entity reporting, using AI agents to automate finance tasks. It serves finance teams at multi-entity, multi-currency companies as an ERP replacement.
Lightning AI4 shared keywordsLightning AI, creator of PyTorch Lightning, runs an end-to-end AI development cloud and merged with GPU provider Voltage Park in 2026.
Lightpanda3 shared keywordsLightpanda is a headless browser engine written in Zig designed for web automation, crawling, and AI agents, offering significantly lower memory usage and faster execution than Chrome. The company serves developers and businesses needing efficient browser automation for cloud-based workloads.
Lightrun3 shared keywordsLightrun provides real-time debugging for live production and staging systems using dynamic runtime instrumentation, letting AI agents insert logs, snapshots, and metrics into running applications without redeploying or reproducing issues locally. It connects to MCP-compatible AI agents to investigate live runtime failures, produce structured diagnoses, and draft fix proposals for developers and engineering teams.
