Knowify provides cloud-based construction and service management software aimed at trade contractors and subcontractors, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, painting, remodeling, concrete and excavating firms. The platform combines customer/vendor CRM, estimating, proposals and e-signable contracts, subcontracts, project budgets and phase planning, scheduling, time tracking, change orders, daily logs, document and photo storage, purchasing, invoicing, payment processing and reporting. It supports fixed-price, cost-plus/time-and-materials and AIA contract types, with progress billing, job costing and real-time work-in-progress reporting.

Alongside long-duration contract work, Knowify offers a Service Pro add-on for service departments with real-time dispatching, equipment history, automated appointment reminders, inventory management and payment processing, plus a Live Equipment Tracking add-on using OBD or wired GPS trackers and the FleetSharp telematics platform, optional AI dashcams and tool tracking. Field crews use iOS and Android apps for clocking in and out, viewing schedules and assigned tasks, uploading photos and recording expenses; the Android app has more than 10,000 downloads. The company positions its QuickBooks integration as central to the product, syncing with QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Payroll, QuickBooks Payments and Intuit Enterprise Suite. Founding story

Daniel de Roulet Jr. co-founded Knowify in 2012 with the goal of helping small businesses, and specifically small and medium construction companies, adopt technology, arguing that construction businesses are complex while most construction workers dislike administrative desk work. Co-founder Marc Visent, previously a product manager at Patrina, a compliant archiving software vendor for financial services, turned his attention to construction with de Roulet in 2012. Visent trained as a computer engineer at Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona, took a law degree at Universitat de Barcelona and later earned an MBA at NYU Stern after moving to New York.
