Alongside products, Kalkitech provides engineering and consulting services positioned as an extension of customer R&D and project implementation teams: product engineering covering software and hardware design, development, certification and life-cycle support; protocol consulting and training in DLMS/COSEM, IEC 61850, IEC 104 and DNP3; digital transformation services connecting field assets through IoT and cloud integration and analytics; and smart metering consultancy and tools supporting utilities, smart meter OEMs and system integrators on DLMS/COSEM-based rollouts. The company also performs protocol testing and validation of field equipment in real time using AI/ML techniques, and offers performance monitoring and optimization, billing, scheduling and settlement for large power plants.

In October 2024 Kalkitech inaugurated a new office campus in Peenya, Bengaluru, and exhibited at Enlit Europe 2024 in Milan. In January 2025 it announced participation in ELECRAMA 2025.
