Hopin

Hopin is an online events platform that lets organizers run conferences and gatherings digitally, with tools intended to emulate a physical event, including virtual reception areas, stages, networking spaces, break-out sessions and a virtual expo hall. The product set includes custom branding (colors, logos, copy), engagement features such as chat, Q&A and integrated apps, event venue configuration, and streaming and community tools for producing studio-quality streams. Founder Johnny Boufarhat has described the original aim as moving beyond broadcasting-oriented webinars and live streaming toward an "all-in-one event platform" that supports unstructured networking.

Over time the company broadened beyond virtual events, describing itself as a "shared experiences platform" rather than a virtual events platform, and adding on-site capabilities such as check-in kiosks and badge printing through acquisitions. It also expanded into event marketing, registration and data-driven engagement tooling, video hosting and mobile event apps. The company launched its own mobile app in February 2021.

The hopin.com website now presents the business as RingCentral Events, stating that RingCentral acquired products from Hopin as part of a strategic relationship. Customer-facing materials reference use by organizations including HubSpot, and the company continues to publish onboarding and training content for Hopin Events.
