Ganance

Ganance is a wearable technology company whose main product, the Heir, is a small sensor that attaches to the caseback of an existing analog or mechanical watch and adds smartwatch-style functionality without altering the watch's appearance. The device measures 30mm in diameter, 3mm in height and weighs 5 grams, is made of stainless steel and UV-coated plastic, and attaches using a removable, non-residue microsuction layer rather than magnets, tools or modification. It is designed for most modern watches with a flat or slightly curved caseback, ideally larger than 34mm; heavily engraved or textured casebacks may reduce suction performance. Battery life is stated at up to 42 hours with a bundled USB-C charging dock and a recharge time of roughly one to 1.5 hours. The device is splash-proof but not rated for submersion, showering or swimming.

The Heir tracks steps, calories, activity classification, active distance and active time, and delivers call, text and app notifications through haptic vibrations, with tap gestures used for media control and answering calls. Data syncs to the Ganance mobile app and into Apple Health on iOS or Health Connect on Android; the company states that broader third-party integrations (for example Strava or Garmin) are planned in future software updates. The app requires iOS 18+ or Android 8.0+ and acts as the configuration layer for notification settings and per-app alert selection. A companion accessory, the HeirBand, is a lightweight flexible strap that houses the same Heir sensor for workouts or other times when the user is not wearing a watch, avoiding the need for a second device.

The company also runs a content blog covering watches and wearables, an affiliate program, and direct customer support channels. Its stated positioning is that consumers should not have to choose between a traditional timepiece and health data, with the founder framing the market as one where "tech companies are making ugly watches, and watch companies are making bad tech products."
