ソラジマ

株式会社ソラジマ (SORAJIMA) is a Tokyo-based manga publisher and original Webtoon (vertical-scroll, full-color comic) production studio. Founded in February 2019, it started as a creative studio aiming to build IP originating from YouTube, then began Webtoon production in August 2021. Its stated mission is to create content representative of this century, with internal goals of a nationally popular hit by 2035 and a defining work by 2050.

The company produces original titles in-house and distributes them across roughly 24 Webtoon platforms including Piccoma, LINE Manga, comico and Chinese platform Kuaikan Comic, as well as through its own app, launched as SORACOMI and later renamed cosmic, and the vertical-reading app ソラジマTOON (10,000+ downloads on Google Play, with a wait-to-read free model, weekly original one-shots and in-app purchases). Works are distributed in eight languages across 11 countries and regions, including South Korea, North America and China. Titles skew toward romance fantasy aimed primarily at women in their 20s and 30s, though the company has expanded into shonen manga, print publishing and licensing.

SORAJIMA is organized into five editorial departments with distinct editorial philosophies: first department (romance Webtoon), second department (battle Webtoon), fourth department (よすみ, a manga web site and print imprint), fifth department (a shonen manga app), plus a battle/horizontal-reading manga line, an editor recruiting unit under the CEO office, a creator ecosystem team, corporate functions and an editorial headquarters. Adjacent businesses include merchandising (MD), video/anime production, sales, and M&A and investment activity.
