Capstone Energy+ (referenced on its site with the identifier CEPL, and previously branded Capstone Green Energy) designs and supplies on-site, fuel-flexible microturbine generator systems ranging from 65 kW single units to multi-megawatt configurations. Core platforms include the C65, C200S, C600S, C800S and C1000S; up to 30 C1000S modules can be paralleled to reach approximately 30 MW. The company states its systems are built around an aero-derivative turbine engine, a magnetic generator, digital power electronics and patented air-bearing technology, giving an oil-free, air-cooled machine with a single moving part, remote monitoring and low routine maintenance.

The systems run on natural gas, associated gas, biogas, LPG/propane, flare gas, landfill gas, renewable natural gas and hydrogen blends. Alongside equipment sales, Capstone offers Energy as a Service structures — build-own-transfer, power purchase and energy service agreements, lease-to-own and rentals — plus long-term service agreements covering planned or planned-and-unplanned maintenance, and factory protection plans of five and nine years.

Capstone sells microturbine generator systems through a global network of distributors, complemented by Energy-as-a-Service arrangements (build-own-transfer, PPAs/ESAs, lease-to-own and rental) that reduce or remove customer upfront capital, and by aftermarket long-term service agreements and factory protection plans.
