Alcyone is a wholly owned subsidiary of Biogen developing the ThecaFlex DRx System, an investigational fully implantable subcutaneous port-and-catheter system for long-term repeated intrathecal drug delivery to the cerebrospinal fluid. The device is initially being evaluated in patients with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA) as an alternative to repeat lumbar punctures.
