Thomas Storch is head of policy and government affairs at Eclipse Ventures. He began his career in finance as an analyst in the restructuring and M&A groups at Greenhill & Co., where he advised on over $6 billion of transactions, and went on to spend more than 12 years as a financial and investment analyst at firms including Stone House Capital, Talpion Fund Management, One East Partners, and Aurelius Capital Management, with expertise in distressed debt, special situations equities, and international energy and commodity markets. He co-founded the Zosima Group to advise energy investors on geopolitical risks affecting markets. In government, he served as deputy director of the National Economic Council and deputy assistant to the US president for International Economic Affairs, acting as the United States' lead negotiator at the G20 and coordinating the G7 during the US host year in 2020. He also co-led the economic framework of the Peace to Prosperity plan for the Middle East, served as senior director for global economics, finance, and development at the National Security Council, and was a senior official for international affairs at the US Department of Energy. Before joining Eclipse, he was a managing director at Affinity Partners, a global growth equity investment firm. He is also a distinguished fellow in the Project for Middle East Integration at the Atlantic Council's Middle East programs.
