He began as a communications lawyer at Latham & Watkins in Los Angeles in 1989, worked on the launch of DirecTV, and later moved into telecom operations at wireless tower company UniSite before it was sold to American Tower. He spent nearly two decades in investment banking, including roles as Head of Investment Banking and then CEO of Credit Suisse in Russia & CIS, based in Moscow, and served as Chief Restructuring Officer for Eurasian shipping company FESCO. He has held several public company board seats, including at Lenta, PLC, and now works with Frontier Ventures.
