Zhenan Bao is a chemical engineer and materials scientist who serves as the K.K. Lee Professor in Chemical Engineering and Chair of the Department of Chemical Engineering at Stanford University, and is Founding Director of the Stanford Wearable Electronics Initiative (eWEAR). She has authored more than 700 refereed publications and over 100 US patents, with more than 210,000 citations. Her honors include the Royal Society of Chemistry Beilby Medal and the L'Oreal UNESCO Women in Science Award North America Laureate, along with election to the National Academy of Engineering, the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the National Academy of Inventors.
