South African businessman and conservationist who joined Anglo-American in 1968, served as a director until 2011, and chaired the De Beers Group from 1998 to 2012. As Chairman of Oppenheimer Generations he continues a legacy of environmental and conservation leadership and supports education through the Oppenheimer Memorial Trust.
