Naysan Saran is the co-founder and CEO of CANN Forecast, a company focused on applying artificial intelligence to water management. She studied at the École Polytechnique de Montréal beginning in 2007 and later pursued a part-time bachelor's degree in mathematics at McGill University, with earlier work experience at Savoir-Faire Linux and as a scientific programmer at Environnement Canada. CANN Forecast grew out of the "Info-Baignade" team, which won first place at the AquaHacking competition in November 2016 for using machine learning to forecast water quality.
