Leo Banchik has about two decades of climate tech experience spanning consulting, startups, research, and policy. He previously served as the Partner responsible for global climate and deep tech investing at Global Founders Capital, worked on sustainable investing and energy transition strategy at McKinsey, and led product innovation at desalination startup Sandymount. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, where he was an NSF Fellow, and earlier worked as a scientist at two National Labs and a researcher at the Department of Energy's office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.
