Born into a family of award-winning engineers, Adachi studied physics (MSc) at Waseda University as an Okuma Memorial Scholar. He served as an executive at startups and worked across sales, product/business planning, IR, M&A, and IPO roles before becoming a technology-focused venture capitalist. He previously worked at Mistletoe and Visionnaire Ventures under Taizo Son, and is also a competitive masters sprinter holding a Japanese indoor 200m record.
