Katie Choi is an energy policy and finance professional with experience across government and financial institutions. She helped establish SMBC's Sustainable Finance & Advisory group, where she advises clients on sustainability strategy and transactions including green bonds and sustainability-linked loans. Previously at HSBC, she originated and structured financial advisory and debt transactions for renewable energy and infrastructure projects, and earlier held positions in the Canadian government at provincial, federal, and bilateral levels.
