About
John Dessouki joined the New Ventures Team in 2015, having previously worked at Route 66 Ventures, a private equity and venture capital firm investing in financial services companies, where he helped launch an early-stage FinTech venture fund and a credit opportunity fund. Earlier in his career he worked at JMP Securities covering internet stocks, made private equity investments at Hovde Capital, and worked in the structured finance division of Standard & Poor's advising banks and hedge funds on credit transactions. He holds an MBA from the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business and a Master's in Accounting from the College of William and Mary, and passed the Virginia CPA Exam in 2006.
