John Canning is Chairman Emeritus of Madison Dearborn Partners, which he co-founded. Before that, he spent 24 years at First Chicago Corporation, serving as Executive Vice President of The First National Bank of Chicago and President of First Chicago Venture Capital. He holds an A.B. from Denison University and a J.D. from Duke University.
