About
Gustav von Sydow was born and raised in Gothenburg, Sweden, and launched his first startup while still in high school. After working as an advertising creative and developer, he co-founded and led Burt Corporation as CEO, a startup studio focused on data-first products that grew over a decade to establish offices in Stockholm and New York. Burt launched products at conferences including TechCrunch50 and DEMO, with several used by major internet companies, media groups, and consumer brands. He was also an active supporter of early-stage startups and served as a bridge between European founders and the New York ecosystem. In 2022 he joined EQT Ventures as an Entrepreneur In Residence, developing an AI-driven approach to startup discovery and due diligence. He was later named a Partner, working on the firm's US expansion and helping build a Stockholm team focused on AI strategy for EQT's early-stage funds. His investing focus centers on early-stage founders building platforms or networks that give other builders and entrepreneurs leverage.
