Felda Hardymon joined Bessemer Venture Partners in 1981, where he invested in software, semiconductors, communications, and storage companies. Before Bessemer, he invested for BDSI, General Electric's first venture subsidiary. Since 1998 he taught and researched at Harvard Business School as MBA Class of 1975 Professor of Management Practice and was twice a visiting professor of finance at the London School of Economics; he received the National Venture Capital Association's Lifetime Achievement award in 2011 and co-authored a textbook on venture capital and private equity.
