Began his career in investment banking at Robert Garrett & Sons in 1966, which merged into Alex. Brown & Sons in 1974, where he spent 32 years across institutional, private client, real estate, corporate finance, M&A, and emerging-growth investing. Left in 1998 to organize QuestMark, and has served on numerous endowment, charitable, and portfolio boards. He holds an Economics degree from Randolph-Macon College (1964).
