Andrew Hallowell is the founding partner and managing member of Arcadia Funds, where he leads efforts to identify and underwrite specialized insurance solutions for hard-to-insure risks, drawing on a career spanning investment banking, portfolio management, insurance underwriting, and venture capital. Before founding his own firm, he was a principal at Foster Management, where he repositioned the publicly-traded company Apogee Inc. amid changes in the U.S. mental healthcare industry, and he previously served as General Partner at Industrial Capital Group and head of the Financial Institutions Group at Brown Brothers Harriman & Company. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BS in Political Economy of Natural Resources from the University of California, Berkeley.
