Alberto Garoffolo is the Head of Zero Knowledge Technologies at the Telos Foundation, where he leads research and development on protocols for scaling decentralized applications and protecting user data using zk-SNARKs and recursive proof systems. Since early 2018 he has worked on blockchain technologies based on SNARKs and zero-knowledge proofs, and he is the author of several technical white papers, including the peer-reviewed Zendoo paper on decentralized sidechains, the Latus construction for recursive SNARKs, and Snarktor, a protocol for scaling SNARK verification. He has more than 15 years of experience in software architecture and has held CTO roles in startup environments, with work spanning decentralized blockchain systems, zero-knowledge cryptography, artificial intelligence, and real-time audio/video technologies.
