The Wates Family Enterprise Trust is the charitable arm of the Wates family, owners of the Wates Group. Launched in 2008, it combines strategic grant-making with an award programme empowering Wates employees to support local community organisations through matched funding, community awards, group grants, sport sponsorships and give-as-you-earn schemes. Its grant-making is structured around three themes: housing, life opportunities for young people, and sustainability. The Trust funds new ideas, research and charitable projects, aiming to build communities and improve lives.
