Howard Thompson has worked with small businesses for around 30 years, starting in banking before moving into business support as a business adviser and regional business manager. He joined UKSE in 2022 and manages the Cardiff Bay Business Centre and Ebbw Vale Innovation Centre while providing loan and equity funding to SMEs in the Welsh region.

Mike has over 25 years of experience in financial services and focuses on building customer relationships. He provides loan and equity funding to SMEs in the Midlands region, working alongside Steve.

Pete Newton joined UKSE in 2022 after a career in corporate finance, with about a decade advising business owners on M&A and fundraising. He oversees debt and equity investments to SMEs in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

Peter Taylor is a Chartered Accountant with corporate finance experience and a former corporate bank manager, handling property and finance matters across Tees Valley, Derwentside and West Cumbria.

Sarah Thorpe has a background in business finance and portfolio management, and handles investment and property matters for the North of England.

Scott Webb has a background in business finance and joined UKSE in 2012. He handles property and finance matters across Lanarkshire, Glasgow and Ayrshire, leading the regional team since 2020.

Steve Grice began his career at HSBC and has spent 30 years supporting the funding needs of Midlands businesses, including running his own companies, completing an MBO, and working in corporate finance advisory. At UKSE he provides equity and debt investments to Midlands companies.

Steve Lyon joined UKSE in 2021 and has more than 30 years of experience lending to businesses of various sizes and sectors. He focuses on providing equity and debt investments to companies in the Yorkshire and Humber region.

A software engineer and technical director from the games industry with eleven AAA release credits including Hitman and Battlefield. He now consults on web3 operations.

On Yavin is a lawyer by training and a serial entrepreneur who began angel investing in startups in 2007, also serving as a mentor supporting founders on management, business development, sales, and marketing. He has judged startup competitions and mentored through programs including the Founder Institute and Tel Aviv University's MoTIE program, and was involved in promoting Israeli entrepreneurship through Geekmedia, which runs the Geektime technology news portal. In 2017 he shifted his focus to blockchain and crypto, founding Cointelligence, later launching Cointelligence Academy in 2019 and the Cointelligence Fund in 2021 to invest in blockchain-based startups.
