SPOROS aims to bridge financial returns with meaningful environmental and social outcomes by accelerating the shift toward a circular economy among SMEs in Greece and Southeast Europe. The fund seeks to boost the regional economy, create local jobs, regenerate the environment, enhance climate resilience, and eliminate waste and pollution. It is the first Article 9 SFDR 'dark green fund' in Greece with sustainable investment as its core objective, aligned with EU Taxonomy, and is recognized by the European Commission as Greece's only impact investing fund featured on the Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform as a best practice. Its investor base includes institutional investors, funds of funds, banks, asset managers, family offices and UHNWIs, with HDBI as anchor investor.
