Investment thesis
Norrsken Launcher is an early-stage deep tech impact fund operating within the Norrsken ecosystem. It deliberately maintains a concentrated portfolio to remain deeply operationally involved, working alongside founders for three to nine months to build teams, accelerate commercialization, and support fundraising. The fund invests roughly €1-3m across only two to three highly selective investments each year. Since 2023 it has raised two funds, both classified as Article 9 under the EU's SFDR, reflecting its sustainability and impact orientation. It targets scientists and engineers tackling major global challenges across areas such as diagnostics, clean energy, materials, and climate.

Fredrik Jung Abbou has co-founded eight companies, and the one that went furthest was the one furthest outside his comfort zone. Most of his ventures were online comparison marketplaces — electricity, mobile, invoicing, leasing — including Lendo, the loan marketplace Schibsted acquired in 2010. In 2022 he co-founded Norrsken Launcher, an early-stage fund built to turn scientific research into fundable companies, and he invests across Swedish technology in Voi, Sana Labs, Trine and others.
