Investment thesis
Montis Capital is a Polish venture capital fund targeting startups with strong teams, scalable business models, and already market-validated products. It focuses on two broad areas: Industry 4.0 — encompassing robotics, artificial intelligence, internet of things, big data, and deep tech — and Life Science, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, biomedical technologies, nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, food processing, and environmental and biomedical devices. The fund invests in Series A and later rounds, writing tickets of EUR 1.5M to 5M and taking minority stakes of 10% to 49%. It seeks a minimum 5x cash-on-cash return over a 5-7 year horizon, with a target balance sheet size of EUR 35M and backing from the Polish Development Fund.
