Investment thesis
The KMO Fonds provides financing to small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to promote entrepreneurship, innovation, production, and production-supporting activities, and to strengthen the competitiveness and earning capacity of Surinamese SMEs. Eligible applicants are SMEs demonstrably knowledgeable about their businesses, primarily held by Surinamese nationals/residents or Suriname-based legal entities. Financing reaches up to SRD 1,000,000 with terms up to 10 years, a 5% annual profit rate, and requires at least 25% own contribution. Applications are submitted to the Ministry's KMO Unit for intake, pre-screening and guidance, then forwarded to Trustbank Amanah for further handling.
