Investment thesis
TAQADAM is a Saudi-based, highly competitive accelerator founded in 2016 by KAUST in partnership with SAB. From over 800 annual applications, up to 60 startups enter a pre-accelerator bootcamp, after which the strongest teams continue into a six-month hybrid program and receive $40,000 in funding. The program offers mentorship, targeted support, co-working space, service subsidies, and access to a network of public/private sector players and investors. Ten startups may secure follow-on funding of $100,000 at the annual showcase. It backs early-stage startups across all industries and supports both Saudi and international founders who plan to expand into Saudi Arabia.
