Investment thesis

As a single-family office, Hay Wain invests private capital primarily into later-stage UK private equity and debt opportunities, and selectively into public securities and property. It offers lower mid-market buyouts and growth capital (typically up to £10m, EBITDA under £5m, control or minority positions, sector and situation agnostic) and private credit including asset-backed lending, mezzanine, property and bridging loans (typically up to £10m, up to 24 months). It is a proactive UK real estate investor taking majority positions with hands-on asset management. The team, having founded, operated or acquired over 150 companies, adds value through operational experience and works closely with management teams. It also backs specialist investment platforms and selective early-stage mission-driven businesses.
