Investment thesis
Harmoney's purpose is to help people pursue their goals through financial products that are fair, friendly and simple. As a 100% consumer-direct personal lender across Australia and New Zealand, it provides unsecured personal loans that are fast, fully online and competitively priced using risk-adjusted interest rates. Rather than relying on human assessors, Harmoney uses technology, data science and large data sets to make faster, more consistent lending decisions, aiming to remove misinterpretation and unconscious bias. About half of its ~85-person team works in engineering, data science and product, reflecting a culture centered on continuous improvement and better customer experiences.
