Investment thesis
Épimède is a Belgian regulated private PRICAF fund (since 2003) that invests in unlisted technology SMEs at the early stage with demonstrated or effective growth potential. It primarily funds capital increases to finance growth leaps and takes an active role on the target company's board, overseeing key decisions. The firm prefers partnerships where it can add real value, bringing strategic expertise, operational experience and an extensive network covering product positioning, production, financing, marketing, recruitment, IP management and internationalization. It favors companies headquartered or mainly operating in Wallonia, with fewer than 500 employees, in life sciences, engineering sciences (ICT and cleantech) and business services with a technological or industrial competitive advantage.
