Investment thesis
The Fund offers a defensive approach to private credit exposure by primarily lending to credit funds rather than to companies. It aims to generate high current income while preserving capital, originating investments backed by significant cushion from fund equity investors, underlying portfolio diversification, and strong protective covenants. It principally originates and invests in Eagle Point's Portfolio Debt Securities (PDS) — generally fixed income instruments issued by credit funds such as BDCs, registered closed-end investment companies, private funds, and REITs to finance portions of their portfolios — targeting returns comparable to traditional direct lending funds but with less risk.
