Dfinity Foundation
FoundationInvestment thesis
DFINITY's mission is to build the Internet Computer, a tamperproof, decentralized 'frontier cloud' operated by an independent network of nodes rather than any single company. The network provides serverless compute with built-in persistent state, allowing applications to run as stateful containers that serve HTTP natively and store data without external databases, all with tamperproof execution guarantees. Because no single operator controls the network, applications cannot be shut down, censored, or modified unilaterally, and the network itself enforces integrity and availability. The organization is focused on distributed systems and cryptography research rather than operating as a conventional investment fund.
