BIG is a student-managed investment organization whose stated purpose spans three goals: generating investment returns to donate annual proceeds toward scholarships for SMU business students; educating junior analysts in valuation, thesis generation, and strategic decision-making via a formal training program; and preparing members for admission to premier finance honors programs and finance careers. Its equity portfolio invests across financial, energy, consumer, technology, industrial, and healthcare sectors.
