Investment thesis
As Colombia's national business development bank, Bancóldex promotes the growth and expansion of Colombian companies of all sizes. Its core offering is credit — direct loans, working-capital financing, leasing, leaseback, document discounting, guarantees, currency hedging and export/foreign-trade financing — delivered both directly and through a network of partner banks and microfinance institutions. It runs special regional credit lines with preferential rates and grace periods, and supports the energy transition through dedicated solar-energy financing. Beyond lending, Bancóldex offers business-strengthening programs and connects entrepreneurs with capital funds, including opportunities to invest in and access private capital funds.
